     Francis Dudziak

Francis Dudziak was a student at the Paris Conservatoire from 1980 to 1984. He was awarded a first prize for singing, in Camille Maurane's class, in 1981, and then studied under Peter Gottlieb. He also took several courses in vocal technique with Lorrain Nubar of the Julliard School in New York. From 1982 to 1983, he joined the Opera du Rhin and sang in productions which included Madame Butterfly, Die Fledermaus, Manon, Veronique, Don Pasquale and Carmen. After training in the opera workshop of the Lyon Opera under Eric Tappy, he joined the company from 1986 to 1988, singing in Scylla et Glaucus, La Grotte. d'Ali, Nuit a Venise, Fortunio, Count Qry, Les Brigands and Orfeo. In 1992, he sings Pelleas in Cracovia. Accompanied by Jean-Bernard Dartigolles, he has appeared at a number of festivals, on French radio and at the Musee d'Orsay, specialising in the French repertoire. He has taken part in recordings of several operas conducted by John Eliot Gardiner (Scylla et Glaucus, Fortunio, Count Ory, Les Brigands, Les Pelerins de la Mecque). He recorded, for Accord, the Chantefables and the Chantefleurs by Jean Wiener and Songs by Massenet
